Our Name

The Nitorco (pronounced nī-tŏr-cō) name is derived from the latin word nitor which means "To press forward, advance, to mount, climb, ascend or fly."

That meaning encapsulates exactly what we want to accomplish for our clients. We support organizations and help them advance by providing technological solutions for their everyday needs. We don't just want to meet their basic needs. We want to help them ascend to heights they didn't even know were possible. Lewis Valentine -- President
Lewis is the current president of Nitorco. He graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1995 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science. From 1995 until 2002, Lewis took positions with other companies in which he built several major software solutions and supported several county governments.  In 2002, Lewis founded the company on the idea of providing the best technical solutions with the best customer service.  Lewis is widely regarded as an industry expert and oversees the overall technical direction of the company.
Derek Anderson -- Vice President
Derek Anderson graduated from Berry College in 2001 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and a minor in Computer Science. After joining the Nitorco team in 2004, Derek became co-owner and Vice President in 2006. He also completed his Master’s Degree in Software Engineering from Auburn University in 2006. Derek currently oversees the sales and client relationships.
